Good old Show Mix!

Please may I take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU. Balanced Show Mix was the main feed I used for my poor doer ex racing TB, who wind sucked. It kept him in great shape until he was 26 yrs old. My daughter has a rather mad, and messed up ex racing Arab, who also wind sucks (don’t ask, I’m a sucker for problem critters). Every winter although he is young he has lost condition, not too badly but enough to look leaner than I’d like. We do hunt at least once a fortnight so they need good feed. In the past she has put him on Equilibrium, Baileys, even on milk pellets last year. I have recently convinced her to use Balanced Show Mix and lo and behold the chap is sailing through this winter, looking like he did in the summer. I rest my case! On to my new youngster. He will be two on 21st May – a little Welsh Section D chap, who should mature at 15hh. I have just seen on your website that you have a product called Youngstock Mix, and just want to tell you thanks – I had looked at other big brands, but felt reassured when I saw that you make this – and my baby will now be fed the best from you. Cheers – keep up the good work. Lynda Taylor, Dartmoor in Devon

Calcium

About 99% of the calcium (Ca) in the body is found in the bones and the teeth, with calcium making up about 35% of the horses’ bone.

Calcium also plays important roles in the body such as muscle contraction, the function of cell membranes, blood formation and clotting, lactation and the regulation of many cell enzymes.

The skeleton, other than being a structural support for the body, serves as a readily available storage location for calcium.

Calcium deficiency can lead to bone disorders, poor muscle function, impaired blood clotting and inadequate nervous transmission.
