Good old Show Mix!

Please may I take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU. Balanced Show Mix was the main feed I used for my poor doer ex racing TB, who wind sucked. It kept him in great shape until he was 26 yrs old. My daughter has a rather mad, and messed up ex racing Arab, who also wind sucks (don’t ask, I’m a sucker for problem critters). Every winter although he is young he has lost condition, not too badly but enough to look leaner than I’d like. We do hunt at least once a fortnight so they need good feed. In the past she has put him on Equilibrium, Baileys, even on milk pellets last year. I have recently convinced her to use Balanced Show Mix and lo and behold the chap is sailing through this winter, looking like he did in the summer. I rest my case! On to my new youngster. He will be two on 21st May – a little Welsh Section D chap, who should mature at 15hh. I have just seen on your website that you have a product called Youngstock Mix, and just want to tell you thanks – I had looked at other big brands, but felt reassured when I saw that you make this – and my baby will now be fed the best from you. Cheers – keep up the good work. Lynda Taylor, Dartmoor in Devon

Our Mission

Our Mission Statement

Our Mission is to provide the best feeds available for horse and ponies living in the UK & europe.

Our core principals are to

  1. Use ingredients, wherever possible and practical, that would have been available to the horse in the  natural state.
  2. formulate feeds specifically targeted to the particular equine in question.
  3. continually monitor the effects any of our range has on the species, and to upgrade, improve or adjust nutrients accordingly, in line with current research, in order to stay at the front of the marketplace.
  4. market our products in an ethical way i.e. to NOT sell any products by inferring that “if you don’t use them then you will not be doing ‘right’ by your horse or pony”.
  5. not slate our competitors or their products.
“Agricultural practices have swung away from using traditional ingredients for horse feeds, some of the ingredients used now are quite disturbing. My team and I feel this may be why some horses react badly to some feeds; with filled legs, bumps and  temperament oddities etc. We pride ourselves on  only using traditional well established ingredients in our products. We have always told people what we use and are more than happy that the law now makes it a requirement for all ingredients to be declared.” Ian Adams-lane.
